Day 1 - Favourite Season

Hands down gotta be Season 2. Seasons 3 and 5 are nipping at it’s heels, but season 2 of Buffy is not only the best seasons of Buffy but one of the best season TV has ever seen.

Angel turning into Angelus was such a huge shock, and David Boreanaz played him absolutely brilliantly. It was really the first time Buffy truly experienced a loss in the show, and the drama was heart-racing. Plus, we got to see Giles be a huge bad-ass for the first time!

Day 2 - Favourite Episode

Without a doubt, it has to be Innocence from Season 2. It’s the best part of a brilliant two-parter, Surprise setting the scene with an awesome cliffhanger ending of Angel running into the street, howling in pain. We finally get to see how evil Angelus truly is, and he shows why he’s so feared almost straight away. The tension throughout the episode can be cut with a knife. It’s just a flawless Buffy episode, and I wouldn’t expect any less from one written and directed by Joss Whedon.

Plus, Buffy has a rocket launcher.

Day 3 - Favourite Song in an Episode

If we’re talking about things like Once More with Feeling, then it’s Sweet’s Song.

But if we’re talking about soundtrack, then it’s from Tabula Rasa in Season 6. Goodbye to You by Michelle Branch is played over Tara leaving Willow, and Buffy and Spike kissing under the stairs at the Bronze, and it’s a scene that has stuck with me ever since it was aired. It’s a truly emotional scene, and the music just accentuates that.

Day 4 - Favourite Female Character

I think there’s no doubt about it being Anya. Everything she says is just hilarious, and the last episode of season 7 is heart-wrenching.

Day 5 - Least Favourite Female Character

Oh Gawd. Normally I’d say Dawn, but I just remembered that Rona pissed me off more than anything ever. I get one of the Slayers had to be like, scared and difficult, but did she have to be so annoying as well?

Day 6 - Favourite Male Character

This is hard. …I’m gonna say Giles. Funny Giles is awesome, Intense Giles is awesome, Singing Giles is awesome. Plus, one of the absolute best moments of the show:

Willow: And there’s no-one in the world with the power to stop me now.

Giles: I’d like to test that theory.

Day 7 - Least Favourite Male Character

Yeah, it’s Parker. Only by a little bit. If there was no Parker, Riley would be sitting pretty here.

Why, it’s the friendship that saved the world! Xander and Willow.

Day 9 - Favourite Romance

Who else but Xander and Anya. NO-ONE, THAT’S WHO.

Day 10 - Least Favourite Season

Season Four definitely. It has the worst Big Bad, it has the worst characters (Parkey, Riley, Maggie Walsh). It has some standout moments, of course, but it’s by far the weakest season. Plus, Beer Bad, anyone?
